Quality you can rely on
TRANSLATE TRADE is certified according to the quality assurance systems ISO 9001:2008 and ÖNORM DIN EN 15038 and strictly complies with utmost quality standards in its operations.
TRANSLATE TRADE is the first translation agency in Austria to be awarded a certification under the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
TRANSLATE TRADE’s quality management team constantly strives to optimise processes, thereby guaranteeing a continuation of the quality chain for customers who have already received their own certification.
What exactly is ISO 9001?
The ISO 9001:2008 series of standards is a set of universal standards for quality assurance systems. The ISO 9001 standard is recognised worldwide and is currently the accepted national standard in 150 countries.
The ISO series of standards aims at ensuring that when a customer purchases a product or a service from a certified company, he or she can be sure to receive utmost quality.
Why introduce a quality management system?
Prior to the year 2000, it was difficult to apply the ISO 9001 series of standards to service companies. When a revision made the application of the standard to service providers more feasible, TRANSLATE TRADE, in following its heritage as a pioneer, did not hesitate to implement a quality management system based on ISO 9001.
Today, many companies already require their suppliers to be ISO 9001:2008 certified so as not to interrupt the quality chain.
From the acquisition of new projects to the handling of assignments and customer service – quality assurance is at the core of all services provided by TRANSLATE TRADE.
Optimized down to the smallest detail, our processes ensure not only a complete documentation of our internal project management, but also the quality of translations and the safety and protection of confidential data.
DIN EN 15038
While ISO 9001 focuses more on internal procedures, ÖNORM DIN EN 15038 concentrates mainly on the quality of the translators.
Because of this, our quality management system was expanded to include a certification under ÖNORM DIN EN 15038 in February 2008.
In order to be awarded the certification, TRANSLATE TRADE had to demonstrate a procedure ensuring that the persons responsible for translation projects are suitably skilled and qualified. These qualifications include not just linguistic skills: translators working with TRANSLATE TRADE must also demonstrate their competency regarding research capabilities and translation techniques, as well as their cultural and textual specialist knowledge. A higher degree of education and many years of experience with translations are a prerequisite for any collaboration with TRANSLATE TRADE, and these aspects are also important criteria in identifying new translators.
What is the advantage for you as a customer?
With its certifications and regular evaluations, TRANSLATE TRADE ensures that customers receive continually improved services, organized work processes and first-rate translations prepared by specifically trained translators with many years of experience.
